Mini Concentration: Architecture
Mini Concentration: practice writing
As human beings we tend to move through life so quickly, and we never take the time to stop and look around. I saw this as a problem; I believe people should take the time to really observe their environment. My concentration is about capturing the architecture in my environment, to focus on the details. My main purpose was to photograph the buildings in a way the would make them look more like a piece of art rather than just a structure made of bricks and wood.
One thing I added into all my images was I enhanced the saturation, because I wanted to make them more personal. I have always loved colors and how colors can affect human emotions. One image in particular that demonstrates that concept is (#7), of the building with the green and orange roof and filigree. This image captures the detail in the building, brining focus to the most intricate aspects. Also, the colors are compliment one another, which make the image more appealing to the eye. The castle images best demonstrate my idea because these images have the greatest amount of detail. This is an environment you don't see on an everyday basis, so the topic itself is captivating,

Concentration 1 : Abstract
Artists Hero/ Research: Kaleidoscope Photography
While I was looking for an artist for abstract photography I happened to find a way to make pattern images into kaleidoscopes using photo shop. I really liked the way the images looked and it is a unique way to make my abstract images more captivating. Another way to make my abstract images more interesting in maybe even doing a mirror image too. One image that caught my attention is the second image because it demonstrates both a kaleidoscope and mirror image. However, I don't think I would do portraits, but I am inspired by the idea. Overall, I like the colored images the best and the repetition. If I were to try this technique I could take photos of certain topics and make the images abstract myself, rather than trying to find abstract pieces to photograph.

Artist Hero: Claude Monet
My artist hero is Claude Monet. I have recently decided to paint landscapes as well as individual elements is nature such as flowers and other plants. I find Monet and I have a similar style of painting, which I think is what drawn me to his work. I find he pays great attention to light and shadow, which is something I aspire to have in my paintings. He also uses colors that are vibrant, and not naturally found in nature, which is his own twist to the paintings. One thing I do struggle with is presenting the painting how your eyes would see the landscape; with more detail in the foreground and less as you move back in the image. That is one thing Monet does really well is show space. I admire his work and hope to create paintings just as beautiful.
